Not all windows are rectangles; sometimes they are curved, round, triangles, octagons, and more! Since all of are glass is custom, we can create art glass for these shapes. These cabinet doors had a tiny sun on the bottom with some rays, but was unfortunately damaged. We designed and made these replacements and boy do they pop!
Place on tempered glass, this is a custom design with lamination and colored glass jewels for a very awesome and dimensional piece - we miss being able to look at it in the Shoppe, but love knowing our art is in our clients home!
Art Glass Overlay and Stained Glass Transoms are amazing ways to add art to your home. Transoms are windows that are above windows or doors, often in a type of arched shape. What is a transom window?
These type of windows refer to their location above a doors or another windows transom; a beam at the top of the window or door. These windows come in different shapes and custom sizes for the home, business, or whatever type of building it is. These types of higher up windows are great candidates for art glass because their location shows them off well and usually means they will have different types of lighting coming through them throughout the day.
Adding art glass such as sandblasting, cast glass, or stained glass is a great way to show off your style, add any privacy needed, and upgrade your transom windows.
Here is a close up the central bevel cluster of a panel. Bevel clusters art groups of glass bevels that are placed together to form a design. They are often more complex in the center of the panel with smaller clusters in the corners or on the sides. We love adding them to our art glass pieces, and the add a great bit of dimension and sparkle.
They are often used in door inserts, which you can see more of by clicking here, but our designers love using them in all types of projects! We even have round jewel style bevels in multiple colors, perfect for adding a spot of color or making a shining eye! We love to create and add that extra sparkle.

Many homes feature door inserts in their front doors, and some have side lites as well, or sometimes it is just a side lite or two. These are great places for stained glass overlay or stained glass. Frosted glass is one type of textured glass we use that has some privacy to it. But, it is being used in a unique way for this photography collective. Using stand offs, the glass is attached to wall in the sizes and amounts needed. Then, vinyl lettering can be added or even certain paints and markers to write up what is current. In this case, it is for current and upcoming exhibitions. The lettering is removed and the new set is added, creating a professional and clean look.

These units are double glazed or triple glazed, with the art safe on the inside. We loved spending time on creating this underwater adventure for our client! It is art glass overlay, dual glazed, and installed in our clients door.
This art is on one solid piece of tempered glass, making strong and durable! We were able to create a gorgeous design that matched our clients wants perfectly. Inspired by creatures the client had in their own fish tank, we used stunning colors, textures, glass jewels, lead lines, and glass globs and eyes to create this dimensional piece. We all played a role in this amazing project. Oh, and I should mention - this is one of a set of two! Phew, a job well done to our designers and creators!
Nick and Jade worked on choosing the colors for our designs, and did all the marking, cutting, leading, cleaning and more needed to create these fun pieces! It is always great to keep learning and practicing, and art glass is a great creative outlet for it.
