These cabinet doors had a tiny sun on the bottom with some rays, but was unfortunately damaged. We designed and made these replacements and boy do they pop!
Place on tempered glass, this is a custom design with lamination and colored glass jewels for a very awesome and dimensional piece - we miss being able to look at it in the Shoppe, but love knowing our art is in our clients home!

What is a transom window?
These type of windows refer to their location above a doors or another windows transom; a beam at the top of the window or door. These windows come in different shapes and custom sizes for the home, business, or whatever type of building it is. These types of higher up windows are great candidates for art glass because their location shows them off well and usually means they will have different types of lighting coming through them throughout the day.
Adding art glass such as sandblasting, cast glass, or stained glass is a great way to show off your style, add any privacy needed, and upgrade your transom windows.

This is a lead and bevel design for the sliding windows over the tub in a bathroom. The frosty looking background texture (Gluechip) keeps things private while still allowing the outside light to come in and illuminate the art. This is a custom design for a client with clean lines and a wonderful bevel cluster in the center of the windows. They can still be opened as well, making art even more functional. This is an art glass overlay piece with an Autumn flair. Since spooky Halloween is over, we are sharing this piece with browns, reds, and oranges. The leaf and acorn at the top just really feel like Fall to us!

They are also a fantastic place for stained glass overlay and when the light shines through them, you can see the amazing colors and textures reflected inside the home. Frosted glass is one type of textured glass we use that has some privacy to it. But, it is being used in a unique way for this photography collective. Using stand offs, the glass is attached to wall in the sizes and amounts needed. Then, vinyl lettering can be added or even certain paints and markers to write up what is current. In this case, it is for current and upcoming exhibitions. The lettering is removed and the new set is added, creating a professional and clean look.

These units are double glazed or triple glazed, with the art safe on the inside. This way there is a tempered piece of clear glass in front of the art for a dual glaze, or one on each side for a triple glaze.

Happy Summer Solstice! Bright Suns are here for the Summer months, and we are sharing this piece we did that celebrates living on the coast. The addition of the gems coming off the wave is a beautiful touch and catches the light like splashes of water would.
Plus, we love the moody colors the clouds have - reminds us of the overcast mornings here in Carlsbad! The sun also has some wonderful colors from the overlay that give it more a painterly feel.
