Close up of Lead and Bevel Cluster

Here is a close up the central bevel cluster of a panel. Bevel clusters art groups of glass bevels that are placed together to form a design. They are often more complex in the center of the panel with smaller clusters in the corners or on the sides. We love adding them to our art glass pieces, and the add a great bit of dimension and sparkle.

They are often used in door inserts, which you can see more of by clicking here, but our designers love using them in all types of projects! We even have round jewel style bevels in multiple colors, perfect for adding a spot of color or making a shining eye! We love to create and add that extra sparkle.

Lead and Bevel in Art Glass

Lead and bevel, leadlite, or colorless stained glass is perfect for windows, doors, and entryways. They do not tie you down to a color while using the lines, textures, and a great variety of bevels to make stunning and unique designs. We can design around your level of opacity and matching the theme of your home, office, or business. Check out our Lead and Bevel page here to see our past works and find the inspiration for your new lead and bevel glass!

Privacy & Design for the Bathroom

This is a lead and bevel design for the sliding windows over the tub in a bathroom. The frosty looking background texture (Gluechip) keeps things private while still allowing the outside light to come in and illuminate the art. This is a custom design for a client with clean lines and a wonderful bevel cluster in the center of the windows. They can still be opened as well, making art even more functional. We are here to make your custom design come true with art glass! Check out our art glass window page here to see more of what we have done and gt inspired!

Small Lead & Bevel Flower

This design is actually on of our examples. It showcases a non color design using lead, bevels, and texture. We are able to create a lovely flower with leaves and a stem out of these items without incorporating color. These designs are great at not tying your home or office into a set of colors.

There are many different bevels to choose from to create modern and classic designs. This one uses a background texture called “Glue Chip” and is great for obscuring the view while looking beautiful!

Half Round Lead and Bevel Transom

This half circle of glass is called a half round and as a window above another window (or door), it is called a transom. This design type is sometimes called clear stained glass or lead and bevel. While lead and bevel can have color to it, it usually does not and instead lets the shapes created from the lead and the dimensional bevels do all showing off!

This glass was installed right up to the original window which will protect the art glass and provide a wonderful design that adds privacy. Because of the lack of color, it helps if you are thinking of selling your home and do not want someone locked into a certain color. Or maybe you love it so much, you take it with you! Of course, lead and bevel is loved by many and can be enjoyed in your home for years to come!

We love the leadlines drawing your eye to the diamond shaped bevels surrounded by the swooping curls of the lead. A contrasting texture follows the shape of the half round framing the design well. Since all of our glass, art glass and mirror is custom, we can create shapes beyond rectangles and circles. Diamond Bevels, Lead Swirls, and a Fresh View!

This window looked at the neighbors, but had some great light coming in that made our clients not want to cover it with the blinds all the time. We designed and crafted this lead and bevel piece with textures, bevels, and lines to hide the outside view while letting the sunlight really show off the art! We love the classic look of the design with a built in frame look to surround the inner diamond bevel clusters.

We can create these designs and often silicone them right up to the original glass, or we create a dual unit for the space. Both make for a more insulated window that also protects the art.

A Vintage Wood Frame Filled with Art!

This is a custom lead and bevel piece made to fit this antique wooden window frame. Our designers created this look by combining glass bevels to form the shape along with the swirl and outline of the lead. Since all our work is custom, we are able to add designs to things such as this window frame. Since there are many different frame sizes, being custom allows much more flexibility in getting projects created and finished. We have learned there really is no standard size!

So if you have a frame, window, or other area that needs art glass, let us know!

Designer Art Glass Entryways

Entryways welcome you and guests into your home; make them feel welcomed (and impressed) by custom art glass!

The before and after below shows a door with two sidelites and a transom window above. The design was created to compliment each other and provide some privacy by using a texture that obscures the view inside and out. This is a custom lead and bevel design with a traditional flair. This colorless stained glass means you are not tied to a color to match, and if the place will be sold, then the curb appeal is intact by having this type of bevel design. It is also great for picky HOA’s!

Our designs are custom which means they are unique to our clients! Designers work with clients to get a feel for what they are looking based on pictures of work they already like, inspirational photos, design elements in the home or office, and what creative ideas are in the clients mind. We know the questions to ask to help pick your brain and get your ideal design! Plus, as much privacy as you need.

There will also be at least two pieces of glass which will provide a little more insulation from the weather and the noise.
