This Sunday is the soft opening of Oak Gallery at Glass and Mirror Shoppe! It will be from 12-3pm and feature photographs from local artists for sale and vintage cameras on display! We are through a major part of our remodel with our new sliding glass doors, a brand new wall, new furniture, and new paint! It has been quite a journey and we want to thank Penny, Brandy, Gary, Juan, and everyone else that helped and worked hard on this project! We are so happy to have this new space to create our art glass in while also being your local glass and mirror distributor.
Now, since we put in a new wall down the middle of the shop, you may be wondering what is on the other side…

As Art Glass Overlay lives at the Glass and Mirror Shoppe, we are in the midst of a remodel!
We will still be here to provide ‘Excellence in Glass’ as your local glass and mirror distributor. This remodel will be part of our focus on making beautiful art glass for our wonderful clients. We are still working during this remodel to help those clients, and you can also track our progress here at the Glass And Mirror Shoppe blog. October is a big month for the Shoppe with the most changes happening as we update our look, so stay tuned for more updates.

Before, this high window had a view of some power lines and a slice of the California sky. We have replace worse views, but this one called for a custom piece to enjoy and the lighting was perfect for stained glass! Inspired by the beautiful cranes that visit the area, our clients worked with our designers to create this window. Here, two cranes enjoy the water with the beach and setting sun in the background. The swooping lead lines and flowing color enhance the water and give it a feeling of movement.
We work hard to create wonderful glass art that our clients can love for generations!
Last week the bike/walking path was opened, and we have finally gotten to see more of our locals getting some fresh air in the village! The Farmers Market has returned on Wednesday afternoons with a one way walk through to help keep everyone spaced out and safe. We are still keeping our store as by appointment only, but have had more people walking by and seeing our open door.
With the quarantine, our clients are using their extra time to remodel their homes and we have been hear for shower doors, windows, and closet doors. With our art glass, this is great time to give your glass needs “something special” whether it be stained glass overlay, sand blasted glass, or textured glass (and more!). A lot of this has been accomplished with an increase in text or email communication (yes, we text! - see below)
